Please get in contact with RatePAY to get a contract. RatePAY will provide you with an offer once the you provided them with the following data:
URL of the shop
Total Revenue (including returns)
Average order value
Return quote
Share of B2B of the total turn over
Share of returning customers
Please send as many data as you have to info@ratepay.com. RatePAY will follow up with an offer and contract. The price varies depending on your merchant profile, returns, turn-over, etc. between 1.5% and 3.8%.
Once you completed the sign-up you will receive a Merchant Profile ID and a Merchant Security Code. This data is needed for the configuration of the live mode of the processor.
In order to configure the processor you have two options to set it up. They are described below:
You have the option to setup your account by using the setup assistant in your space. The setup assistant will create the necessary steps for you to accept payments. By default the processor will be setup in test mode where you have the option to use our pre-defined credentials for testing.
Once you have received the Merchant Profile ID and a Merchant Security Code you can switch into production. Make sure you refresh the profiles in order to download all your profile information.
Below you find the necessary setup steps without using the setup assistant. All you will need to provide here is the MerchantID once you received it and you are ready for the production mode.
Note
|
RatePAY requires you to set the payment completion to deferred and complete the transaction once you are ready to ship the goods. Find below additional information around payment completions. |
In case you do not want to use the Setup Assistant proceed as follows. In order to configure the RatePAY processor navigate to Space > Payment > Configuration > Processors. Type RatePAY into the list and start to configure the processor.
The operation mode lets you choose between the test and the production mode mode. In the test mode you are able to test the integration without doing live transactions. We prepopulated a standard test account, however you can also use your credentials here. As soon as you finished your tests you can switch into the production mode.
Note
|
You can only process live transactions in case you have a live account. |
Once you stored the processor configuration you can directly select the connector that you want to configure. Select the different payment connectors and the system will automatically create the payment methods and the corresponding connector configuration. If you want to go back onto this configuration wizzard just open the processor and click on configure connectors on the top right corner.

Find below additional useful information when you use RatePAY in your shop.
RatePAY is a factoring payment service provider which means that they buy the invoice from you as a merchant once you capture / complete the transaction.
Therefore, you are required to set the payment completion to deferred and complete the transaction once you are ready to ship the goods (refer to the
Capture Documentation for more information about captures). Once you performed the capture the transaction will switch into the Fulfill
state in case we suggest you to fulfill the order.
Note
|
You can only do one final completion. You are able to adjust the invoice by editing the line items (for Shopping Carts visit the documentation about captures). However, once the transaction is completed it is final. |
We allow you to use multiple RatePAY profiles in your shop. For each different profile you create a different processor configuration. All you need to do is to enter your credentials and update the profile. We will automatically select a working connector to process your transactions.
In case you use the RatePAY processor there is no need to integrate the RatePAY Device Fingerprint at your end. The device finger printing tools are automatically installed on the payment page or iframe that is delivered by the platform not depending of your integration (SDK, plugin, etc).
